THE ASK
The Global People Team (HR) re-structured three times, in less than 3 years, under the leadership of three CPOs in that time. The team was disconnected, uninformed, and confused. HR needed greater connection, knowledge and resource sharing, and standardized processes.

MY ROLE
I led a working group to design and execute a communications strategy with three primary goals: (1) Foster Improved Connection across the Team of 200; (2) Build a strong, trustworthy Team identity; and (3) Improve Coordination across the Team. I drove the strategy with my communications expertise and incorporated perspectives from working group members from each of our five global regions. Our strategy incorporated continuous feedback from stakeholders to consistently reach our global team in an accessible, compelling way, given the difficult physical and mental contexts in which the staff work.

THE RESULT
A Comprehensive Communications Strategy and workplan for 2024-2025 to enable a more connected, trustworthy, and collaborative team. This strategy acted as a roadmap for all communications for global and HR initiatives from the People Team. Consistent processes were socialized to HR team members, along with toolkits, tailored approaches, and a central hub site for HR information and contacts. Examples included initiatives like employee engagement, onboarding, hiring, and teambuilding.
